More Control over Aliases

Some users reported that spammers had started to invent random addresses at their Neomailbox subdomains (or their custom domains), and they were receiving an unusually large amount of spam as a result.

To deal with this, we've created a default deny mode for subdomain aliases. In this mode, only those aliases at your subdomain (or domain) that you explicitly enable will receive mail. Mail for any alias not explicitly enabled by you in the control panel will be rejected.

To switch your account to default deny mode, or if you have any questions about this, please contact us.

New Improved Webmail

We've moved over to IMP as the primary webmail system for our US hosted accounts. IMP provides numerous features not available on the previous webmail system, as well as snappier performance.

IMP also supports OpenPGP encryption and digital signatures, so Neomailbox users can now send and receive PGP encrypted and/or signed mail from anywhere, using the new secure webmail system.

Servers Upgraded

Maintenance upgrades on all IMAP and POP3 servers.

New Webmail System

We've just upgraded to a new IMAP-based webmail system with rich interactive features, including drag and drop mail management and faster screen updates using AJAX techniques.

Update: the Webmail system referred to in this news item has been replaced by a new system.
